Avanthi Homestay with 3 rooms was started 3 years ago. You can Experience a comfortable stay just steps away from Varkala Beach and the iconic cliffside promenade but away from the hustle and bustle at the same time . Avanthi Homestay offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax and enjoy the charm of Varkala at their own pace.

Where Our Story Began
“In the late 70’s and early 80’s, when there were very few travelers to Varkala, my family used to rent out “The Green house” to the long term tourists that wanted to stay. This was the start of a home stay culture in Varkala which was very rare in those times. In 1993, I started the first restaurant catering to the tourists on the north cliff “Cliff restaurant” which was just a cluster of tables and chairs under umbrellas.
After working 20 years as an architect in Dubai, I returned to Varkala and decided to continue the family hospitality business. The Avanthi complex which includes shops, the homestay and the vegetarian rooftop restaurant is built in the same place where I first started my cliff restaurant.”
